Walking Away from Pain
“I am learning to love the sound of my feet walking away from things not meant for me.”
Walking away from situations, people, relationships, and all the things that are only harming us, it’s a skill that must be learned and developed.
We all have things in life that we keep holding on to. Although we know they are not suitable for us, we know they are stealing our peace and joy, and they treat our wellbeing, we still don’t let those things go. Why is that?
Walking away from Comfort
Comfort. Not more than that. It’s not the love; trust me is not the financial benefit and not the great memories you have. If you keep holding on to crap things in your life, it’s just because those crap are familiar to you.
For some people (the majority), dealing with something familiar, no matter how bad it is, it’s much easier than finding the courage to walk away from those situations towards something that could be wonderful for their lives but initially unknown.
Now, if you are in a situation like that, well don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with you. You are just a human being with an innate desire for self-protection. Everything out of your familiarity is a threat to your safety, and you have to avoid it at all costs.
But the cemeteries are full of people that tried all their life to be safe.
The choice is yours.
